Buy This: “Every Drop Counts” by Ayda Anlagan for Hidden Art.
Tilted bowls with stories and graphics that reveal themselves as you eat.
Their whimsical nature aside, Anlagan designed these bowls with a purposes in mind: To draw attention to “the issue of food wastage in the domestic environment.”
This is neat.

Time for letter-writing.
I’m about to sit down and pen letters to Marie, Olivia and my kid brother Lonnie.
Writing letters is a very calming experience, and it feels so good to put something in the mailbox; it feels just as good to receive! Thus is the joy that is pen-palling.
I keep writing you half of a letter, and then we end up texting/emailing/or somehow tumblring the half of what I wrote! One of these days I’ll write you something original and awe-inspiring…. or at least original. ;-)

For Marie.
Marie, I was looking at your 101 in 1001, and I remembered that you want to learn Italian, too!
So - I have the most amazing present for you. I have a beginner’s Italian book that I got before I started taking the language, and it’s lovely. I’m definitely going to have to put it in the mail on Monday when I send your letter! By the way, I got your Disney postcard! It brightened my afternoon considerably.
Aww thanks Kayla! I took a year of Italian here at OSU during my freshman year and I actually was considering becoming an Italian major for awhile. I love Italian. Unfortunately, since my life has gone crazy with a million other things to focus on, I’ve lost track of the language. I feel like I have forgotten a lot of it. I actually considered springing for Rosetta Stone the other day, but I used that in high school for spanish and felt like I learned nothing (also, it costs a fortune).
I really miss it and maybe your book will be just the thing to get me back into it! :)

I’ve always dreamed of having a bed that I could press a button and it would roll outside onto a balcony.
I think it would be lovely to wake up outside, late on the weekend, on a gorgeous day.
